SAIC Maxus T60 / T90
Why this model
What makes the Maxus T60 / T90 worth importing
1,170 kg payload on the T60 MAX
Genuine one-tonne-plus capacity, which is the threshold commercial buyers and government tenders specify. Below it, a pickup is excluded from most fleet purchases.
Diesel, not petrol
In pickup markets diesel is what buyers expect and what fuel infrastructure supports. Many Chinese pickups arrive petrol-only, which rules them out immediately.
8-speed automatic on the MAX
A modern automatic transmission in a working pickup is unusual at this price, and it opens the model to buyers who would otherwise dismiss Chinese pickups as crude.
Maxus is SAIC's commercial arm
The brand descends from LDV and has an established commercial-vehicle presence in the UK, Australia and elsewhere — a stronger footing than most Chinese pickup brands.

Maxus T60 / T90 technical data
Manufacturer figures for the China-market car. Equipment and certification vary by trim, production batch and destination — we confirm the exact build sheet before the order is placed.
| Version | Power | Torque | Range | 0–100 | Drive |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| T60 MAX — 2.0L common-rail diesel ICE · 8-speed automatic | 158 kW215 PS | — | — | — | 4WD |
| T90 — 2.0L SAIC D20 biturbo diesel ICE · automatic | 130 kW177 PS | — | — | — | 4WD |
A dash means the manufacturer does not publish that figure for this version — we do not estimate it. Range standards differ: CLTC and NEDC read higher than WLTP for the same car, so compare like with like when quoting against a European rival.

About this model
Where the Maxus T60 / T90 sits in the market
The T60 and T90 are SAIC Maxus's double-cab pickups — 5,365 mm long on a 3,155 mm wheelbase, powered by 2.0-litre diesel engines producing 130 kW on the T90 and 158 kW on the T60 MAX, which pairs with an 8-speed automatic and carries a 1,170 kg payload.
Maxus descends from LDV and is SAIC's commercial-vehicle brand, with established presence in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Europe and Asia. For pickups the two things that matter are diesel power and payload above one tonne, and these deliver both — which is more than many Chinese pickups manage. They compete with the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux on capability at a substantially lower price, targeting fleet, agricultural and government buyers rather than lifestyle purchasers.
Two related pickups: the T60 and the newer T90. The T60 MAX is the higher-specification version with an 8-speed automatic.
Before you order
What an importer must know about the Maxus T60 / T90
Both LHD and RHD available — Maxus sells pickups in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, so factory RHD exists. Diesel emissions certification is the main obstacle: engines built to Chinese domestic standards may not satisfy Euro 6 or equivalent regimes, so confirm homologation feasibility for your destination before ordering. Payload and seating configuration affect duty classification in most markets — a five-seat double cab and a two-seat single cab can land at very different rates. Verify which body and payload rating your customer actually needs.
