Why this model

What makes the Nissan X-Trail worth importing

01

Dual-motor e-POWER all-wheel drive

Front motor at 150 kW and 330 Nm, rear at 100 kW and 195 Nm, with no mechanical connection between axles. Traction control is electronic and instantaneous — better than a conventional system on slippery surfaces.

02

Electric drive without charging

The 1.5-litre turbo engine generates electricity only. Customers get electric all-wheel drive and electric refinement with nothing to plug in.

03

The X-Trail nameplate is global

Known as the Rogue in North America, the X-Trail is one of Nissan's most widely sold vehicles. Buyers and mechanics everywhere are familiar with it.

04

VC-Turbo variable compression engine

Nissan's variable-compression turbo adjusts compression ratio on the fly for either efficiency or power — genuinely novel engineering rather than a marketing label.

About this model

Where the Nissan X-Trail sits in the market

The X-Trail is Nissan's global compact SUV, sold as the Rogue in North America. The Chinese version offers a second-generation e-POWER system that most markets do not get: a 1.5-litre turbo generating electricity for two motors — 150 kW and 330 Nm at the front, 100 kW and 195 Nm at the rear — giving genuine electric all-wheel drive with no charging required.

That combination is unusual and commercially useful. Electric all-wheel drive with instantaneous torque distribution works better than a mechanical system on loose or slippery surfaces, and it needs no infrastructure. For markets with poor roads, winter conditions or simply no charging network, it is a more practical proposition than a battery-electric SUV. Nissan does not export the Chinese X-Trail officially.

Before you order

What an importer must know about the Nissan X-Trail

LHD; right-hand-drive China-built X-Trail is not documented, though Nissan builds RHD X-Trail elsewhere. Nissan does not export the Chinese version officially — parallel-export with no dealer warranty. Nissan produces the X-Trail in several countries including Japan and Thailand, so compare landed cost and duty across origins; the dual-motor e-POWER version is the main reason to source from China specifically. Published China-specification dimensions are limited, so we obtain the build sheet before quoting.

Market fit

Where the Nissan X-Trail sells

Based on documented export presence and how the vehicle suits local conditions — not a guarantee of homologation, which we confirm per market before you order.

Central Asia

Poor road surfaces and harsh winters where electric all-wheel drive helps and charging infrastructure does not exist.

Middle East

Nissan's Gulf standing is very strong, and e-POWER delivers fuel savings without any infrastructure change.

Southeast Asia

The X-Trail is a regional staple and the e-POWER version suits markets electrifying without charging networks.

Africa

Nissan's durability reputation with all-wheel drive that works on poor surfaces and no charging dependency.

Nissan X-Trail FAQ

Questions importers ask about this model

How does e-POWER all-wheel drive compare with a conventional system? +
There is no mechanical link between the axles — each is driven by its own motor, so torque distribution is electronic and effectively instantaneous. On loose gravel, snow or wet surfaces that responds faster than a mechanical system waiting for wheel slip. It is not a substitute for a low-range transfer case off-road, but for the conditions most SUV buyers actually face it works very well.
Does the e-POWER version need charging? +
No. The 1.5-litre turbo engine runs as a generator only and charges the small battery itself. The customer never plugs it in. They get electric drive characteristics — instant torque, no gear changes, quiet running — with a normal fuel station routine. In markets with no charging infrastructure this is often a more sensible sale than a battery-electric SUV.
Why source the X-Trail from China rather than Japan or Thailand? +
Mainly for the dual-motor e-POWER version, which several markets do not receive, and for price. Nissan builds the X-Trail in multiple countries and supports those cars officially in more markets, so if your customer simply wants a standard X-Trail another origin may serve better. We compare landed cost and specification across origins when both are available.
Can EV Auto Pro supply the Nissan X-Trail for export? +
Yes, with an honest caveat. Nissan sells this model through official channels in China only, so export units move through China's parallel-export channel. We source the vehicles, handle export and destination-market documentation and shipping, and explain the warranty and after-sales position for your country before you commit. Tell us the quantity and destination and we will confirm feasibility and send a real quote.
What does a Nissan X-Trail quote include? +
We quote per confirmed configuration rather than publishing a fixed price we cannot hold. Every quote states the vehicle cost, inland transport, export handling, documentation and shipping separately, as EXW, FOB or CIF depending on your request — so you can see exactly what is and is not included before you commit to a deposit.
How is the vehicle checked before shipment? +
We check condition, appearance, mileage, configuration, battery status and basic functions before loading, and send you a photo and video report. If something does not match the specification you ordered, it is resolved before the unit is loaded rather than after it arrives at your port.
What warranty applies to an exported Nissan X-Trail? +
Warranty policy depends on brand, model and destination country, and some manufacturer warranties are limited or void outside China. We explain the actual warranty position for your market before order confirmation rather than after, and we supply common spare and maintenance parts for units we have exported.
