Hyundai Tucson L
Why this model
What makes the Hyundai Tucson L worth importing
Longer than the global Tucson
The Tucson L is built on the long-wheelbase version specifically for China. Rear-seat space exceeds the standard car, which matters for family buyers everywhere.
China-specific equipment
Dual exhausts, black-package lighting and a much larger display than the global car. Chinese buyers expect more cabin technology, and the Tucson L delivers it.
Smartstream turbo engines
Hyundai's current turbo family in 1.5 and 2.0-litre forms, with all-wheel drive available on the larger engine.
A globally known nameplate
The Tucson is one of Hyundai's core global products, so buyers, workshops and parts suppliers are all familiar with it.
Specifications
Hyundai Tucson L technical data
Manufacturer figures for the China-market car. Equipment and certification vary by trim, production batch and destination — we confirm the exact build sheet before the order is placed.
| Version | Power | Torque | Range | 0–100 | Drive |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1.5T Smartstream petrol ICE · automatic | — | — | — | — | FWD |
| 2.0T Smartstream petrol ICE · automatic | — | — | — | — | FWD or AWD |
A dash means the manufacturer does not publish that figure for this version — we do not estimate it. Range standards differ: CLTC and NEDC read higher than WLTP for the same car, so compare like with like when quoting against a European rival.

About this model
Where the Hyundai Tucson L sits in the market
The Tucson L is Beijing Hyundai's China-specific long-wheelbase Tucson, launched at the 2020 Guangzhou Motor Show. It uses the extended body rather than the standard global one, with dual exhausts, black-package lighting and a considerably larger display than the international car, powered by 1.5 and 2.0-litre Smartstream turbo engines with all-wheel drive available.
The extra length is the practical argument — rear-seat space beyond the global Tucson matters to family buyers in every market. Combined with Chinese production pricing and more cabin technology than the international version, it is a stronger product than the standard car on paper. Hyundai does not export it officially, so parallel-export applies, though Hyundai's global parts networks ease servicing.

Before you order
What an importer must know about the Hyundai Tucson L
LHD; right-hand-drive China-built Tucson L is not documented. Hyundai does not export the Chinese version officially — parallel-export with no dealer warranty. Note the Tucson L is dimensionally different from the global Tucson, being longer, so a customer comparing against the local-market car will find it larger, which is an advantage worth stating. Published China-specification power figures are inconsistent, so we obtain the manufacturer build sheet before quoting rather than estimating.
