About the Brand
Who is Honda?
Honda builds in China through two joint ventures — Dongfeng Honda in Wuhan and GAC Honda in Guangzhou — which is why many models appear twice under slightly different names. The Chinese range includes locally built Accord, Civic and CR-V alongside genuinely China-only product: the e:NS and e:NP electric crossovers, the Lingpai sedan, and the newer Ye series of electric models developed specifically for Chinese buyers.
Honda supplies its global markets from its own plants in Japan, North America, Thailand, India and elsewhere, and its Chinese production is aimed at Chinese customers. A China-built Honda is a China-market car: China emissions certification, Chinese-language infotainment, locally specified equipment. Those details, not the badge, decide whether the vehicle can be registered and serviced in your country.
Honda does not run a China export programme for third-party traders — it supplies overseas markets from its own plants and its Chinese output is built for Chinese customers. Units bought in China and shipped abroad move through China's parallel-export channel. That is legal in the right corridors, but factory warranty and Honda dealer support in your market will not necessarily apply, and we set that out before you commit.
