BYD Han
Why this model
What makes the BYD Han worth importing
Executive size at a mid-size price
At 4,995 mm long on a 2,920 mm wheelbase, the Han is a genuine E-segment car. In markets where a German executive sedan is aspirational, it lands as a serious alternative rather than a compromise.
Both electric and plug-in hybrid
The Han EV and the Han DM-i share a body. Where charging infrastructure is thin, the DM-i gives 101–200 km of electric range plus a 1.5-litre turbo engine — the same showroom, two very different customers.
715 km CLTC on the big pack
The 85.44 kWh Blade battery delivers class-leading range on the CLTC cycle, which matters in large countries where intercity driving is the norm.
LiDAR-based driver assistance
Newer cars carry DiPilot 300 with LiDAR on an Nvidia Orin-X processor plus DiSus-C adaptive damping — specification that reads well against imported premium rivals.

A dash means the manufacturer does not publish that figure for this version — we do not estimate it. Range standards differ: CLTC and NEDC read higher than WLTP for the same car, so compare like with like when quoting against a European rival.

About this model
Where the BYD Han sits in the market
The Han is BYD's flagship sedan, a full-size car at 4,995 mm on a 2,920 mm wheelbase, offered as the battery-electric Han EV and the Han DM-i plug-in hybrid. The electric version reaches 715 km CLTC on its 85.44 kWh Blade pack, and the dual-motor version produces 380 kW for a 3.9-second 0–100 km/h time.
It is aimed squarely at buyers who would otherwise consider an imported German executive sedan, and it is priced far below one. BYD's own export focus for the Han has been narrower than for the Atto 3 or Dolphin, so availability by market varies and should be confirmed per order. The plug-in hybrid version is the more practical proposition for markets where public charging is limited, since it removes range anxiety entirely while still offering meaningful electric-only running.
Continuously updated; 2025 and later cars add the DiPilot 300 assistance package with LiDAR and DiSus-C damping.
Before you order
What an importer must know about the BYD Han
LHD; right-hand-drive availability for the Han is not confirmed by the manufacturer and should be verified before quoting an RHD market. Charging on China-market cars is GB/T. The DM-i plug-in hybrid needs no charging infrastructure at all to function, which often makes it the easier sale in markets with limited public chargers. Official export presence for the Han is narrower than for BYD's volume models, so this is more often a parallel-export unit — warranty implications should be explained to the end customer before the order.
Market fit
Where the BYD Han sells
Based on documented export presence and how the vehicle suits local conditions — not a guarantee of homologation, which we confirm per market before you order.
Middle East
Executive sedan demand is strong and highway distances suit the large battery; the DM-i suits buyers not ready for full electric.
Central Asia
Buyers compare directly against used German executive sedans; the Han undercuts them heavily while being new.
Russia and the CIS
Large-sedan preference and cold-weather driving where the DM-i plug-in hybrid avoids winter range loss problems.
Russia import process, duties and routes →Southeast Asia
Chauffeur and corporate fleet use, where rear-seat space and running cost both matter.
