The RX is Lexus's core luxury SUV and the model that created the luxury hybrid category with the RX 400h in 2005. It is offered as a 2.5-litre hybrid, a 2.4-litre turbo petrol and a plug-in hybrid, with all-wheel drive across most of the range.

As with every Lexus, the essential fact is that it is not built in China — production is Japanese and Canadian, and Chinese-market cars are imports.
