About the Brand
Who is Leapmotor?
Leapmotor is a Hangzhou EV maker known for building most of its own core components in-house and pricing aggressively — city cars, family SUVs and range-extended models at numbers that undercut most rivals. What makes it unusual commercially is the distribution arrangement with Stellantis, which owns a stake and holds the rights to sell Leapmotor vehicles outside China through the Leapmotor International joint venture.
Leapmotor's official overseas sales run through Leapmotor International, in which Stellantis holds 51%, giving the brand access to Stellantis dealer networks. Europe came first with the T03 city car and C10 SUV, followed by the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America and other regions. Because official distribution is contractually routed through that joint venture, a trader buying in China and shipping out is not using the official channel — which is a distinction worth understanding before you order.
Leapmotor's official overseas distribution is contractually exclusive to the Stellantis-led Leapmotor International joint venture, so units bought in China and shipped by a third party move through the parallel-export channel rather than the factory one. That is legal in the right corridors, but the Stellantis-network warranty and service in your country will not necessarily apply, and we are upfront about that before you commit.
