No, and this catches people out. Since the 2016 generation the X1 has been built on a front-wheel-drive platform, with xDrive all-wheel drive available on higher trims. Buyers who assume every BMW is rear-drive should be told before they order. It does not make the car bad — it improves interior packaging — but the expectation needs setting honestly.

Is the three-cylinder engine a concern? +
