Where the AITO M7 sits in the market

The M7 is AITO's volume SUV and the model that made the Huawei-Seres partnership commercially serious. The second generation launched in 2025 is 5,080 mm long on a 3,030 mm wheelbase, seating five or six, with range-extender versions using 37 kWh LFP or 53.4 kWh NMC packs for up to 1,625 km CLTC combined, and a battery-electric version with a 100 kWh pack rated 710 km CLTC.

Huawei's contribution runs deeper here than on the M5: DriveONE electric drive units, the ADS 4 driver-assistance system and in-cabin LiDAR. It competes directly with the Li Auto L7 and L8 in China's six-seat range-extender segment. Exported as the Seres 7 with Huawei branding removed. Note the two generations differ substantially — the first-generation car has a 2,820 mm wheelbase and smaller batteries — so precision matters when ordering.

How do the two generations differ? +

Substantially. The first generation (2022–2025) is 5,020 mm on a 2,820 mm wheelbase with a 40 kWh battery and up to 330 kW. The second generation (2025 onward) is 5,080 mm on a much longer 3,030 mm wheelbase, with batteries up to 100 kWh, up to 392 kW, Huawei ADS 4 and in-cabin LiDAR. Rear-seat space and technology are both considerably better on the newer car. We state which generation is on the invoice.

Which range-extender battery should I order? +

The 53.4 kWh NMC version if your customers value electric-only running — 255 km covers a full week of commuting and total range reaches 1,625 km CLTC. The 37 kWh LFP version at 175 km electric is cheaper to land and LFP chemistry lasts better under frequent fast charging and heat, which suits hot markets and fleet duty. Both work without any charging infrastructure at all.

Can I market this as a Huawei car? +

Not on export versions. Huawei branding is removed and the vehicle is sold as the Seres 7 in Western markets. The Huawei technology is still in the car — HarmonyOS, ADS 4, DriveONE motors — but you cannot use the Huawei name in marketing material for those versions. In markets where Huawei has strong brand recognition this is a real commercial constraint, so plan the positioning accordingly.
