Where the Zeekr 001 sits in the market

The Zeekr 001 is the car that established Geely's premium electric brand — a 4,970 mm shooting brake on a 3,000 mm wheelbase, built on the same SEA platform family that underpins Volvo and Polestar electric cars. It runs from a 200 kW rear-drive version to the 930 kW quad-motor 001 FR that reaches 100 km/h in 2.02 seconds, with battery options up to a 140 kWh CATL Qilin pack rated 1,032 km CLTC.

Zeekr entered Europe officially in 2023, so European type approval exists for the model. For an independent importer the opening is outside Zeekr's own distribution: the Middle East, Central Asia and parts of Africa, where buyers who would otherwise consider a Porsche Panamera or Mercedes EQE see a car with comparable presence at a fraction of the money. It is a premium sale, not a value sale, and should be quoted that way.

LHD standard; right-hand-drive availability is not confirmed for the 001 specifically, though Zeekr does supply RHD for other models in Hong Kong and Australasia — verify before quoting an RHD market. Charging is GB/T on China-market cars and CCS2 on European specification. Zeekr sells officially in Europe from 2023, so in those markets the manufacturer's distributor holds the warranty and you would be competing with it. The headline 546 kW charging rate is achieved on Zeekr's own V3 chargers, which do not exist outside China — set realistic expectations about charging speed on a destination-market network.

Is the 1,032 km range figure realistic? +

That is the CLTC rating for the 140 kWh CATL Qilin version, and CLTC is an optimistic cycle — expect meaningfully less in real driving, as with any manufacturer's headline figure. What it does tell you accurately is that this is one of the largest battery packs in any production car, so the practical range is genuinely long. We always quote the standard alongside the number so your customers can compare fairly against WLTP-rated rivals.

What is the difference between the 2024 car and earlier ones? +

The 2024 model year moved the 001 to an 800-volt electrical architecture, which roughly halves DC charging time compared with the earlier 400 V cars, and added an OLED display. Cars from 2025 add the Haohan 2.0 driver-assistance system with LiDAR. Since both generations circulate in the used and parallel-export market, we state the exact model year and architecture on every quote.

Does Zeekr already sell the 001 in my market? +

Zeekr entered Europe officially in 2023 and has distribution in several Asian markets. Where an official Zeekr channel exists, factory warranty and servicing follow that channel and a parallel-imported unit will not be covered.
