Why this model

What makes the Haval H9 worth importing

01

Body-on-frame, not a soft-roader

The H9 uses a ladder-frame chassis with a solid rear axle — genuine off-road and heavy-duty construction rather than a raised hatchback. It is built for the work a Land Cruiser Prado does.

02

Diesel available

The second generation offers a 2.4-litre turbo diesel. In markets where diesel is cheaper, more available or expected in a large SUV, this is often the deciding factor.

03

Nine all-terrain modes

Auto, Snow, Sand, Mud and low-range 4WD with an all-terrain control system, plus double-wishbone front suspension and a multi-link solid rear axle.

04

Prado money it is not

It competes with the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Mitsubishi Pajero on capability while costing far less — the argument that wins fleet, government and expedition buyers.

About this model

Where the Haval H9 sits in the market

The H9 is Great Wall's full-size body-on-frame SUV, a 5,070 mm seven-seater on a 2,850 mm wheelbase in second-generation form. Unlike most Chinese SUVs it uses a ladder frame and a solid rear axle, with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and, from the second generation, a 2.4-litre turbo diesel, driving all four wheels through an 8- or 9-speed automatic.

It is explicitly aimed at the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Mitsubishi Pajero, and it is the Chinese SUV to quote when a customer genuinely needs off-road capability, towing or durability on poor roads rather than a road-biased crossover. GWM builds it in China, Russia, Brazil and Uzbekistan. Fleet, government, mining and expedition buyers are its natural audience, and those buyers care more about frame construction and diesel availability than about touchscreens.

Which version are you quoting?

The second generation launched in 2024 on a longer 2,850 mm wheelbase. Figures below are the second-generation car unless noted; the first generation ran 2014–2024 and is still found in some markets.

Before you order

What an importer must know about the Haval H9

LHD; right-hand-drive availability is not confirmed for the second generation — verify before quoting Australia or southern Africa, where the first generation was previously sold in RHD. Diesel availability varies by market and emissions regime, so confirm that the 2.4T diesel can be homologated for your destination before promising it to a customer. Assembly exists in China, Russia, Brazil and Uzbekistan. The first-generation car (2014–2024) is still in circulation, so be explicit about which generation a quote covers.

Market fit

Where the Haval H9 sells

Based on documented export presence and how the vehicle suits local conditions — not a guarantee of homologation, which we confirm per market before you order.

Middle East

Desert driving, high ambient temperatures and a strong preference for large body-on-frame SUVs; Saudi Arabia is an established GWM market.

🇷🇺

Russia and Central Asia

Russian and Uzbek assembly, harsh winter roads and long distances where a ladder-frame SUV is the practical choice.

Russia import process, duties and routes →

Africa

Poor road surfaces, NGO and mining fleet demand, and diesel availability make this the natural Prado alternative.

Latin America

Brazilian assembly at Iracemápolis; rural and agricultural buyers need towing and load capacity.

Haval H9 FAQ

Questions importers ask about this model

Is the H9 a genuine off-road vehicle or a road SUV? +
Genuine. It uses body-on-frame ladder construction with a multi-link solid rear axle and double-wishbone front suspension, four-wheel drive with a low range, and an all-terrain control system with modes for snow, sand and mud. That is the same architecture as a Land Cruiser Prado, and it is why the H9 is bought by mining, agricultural and government fleets rather than only by private buyers.
Can I get the H9 with a diesel engine? +
The second generation launched in 2024 offers a 2.4-litre turbo diesel alongside the 2.0-litre turbo petrol. Whether it can be imported into your market depends on the local emissions regime — some markets restrict or heavily tax diesel. We confirm homologation feasibility for the diesel before you order rather than after, because it is the variant most likely to hit a certification obstacle.
How does it compare with the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado? +
The H9 matches the Prado's basic architecture — ladder frame, solid rear axle, low-range four-wheel drive, seven seats — at a fraction of the price. Where Toyota wins is resale value, parts availability in remote regions and decades of proven durability. For a fleet buyer calculating total cost over five years, the purchase-price gap usually outweighs those advantages; for an individual buyer in a remote area, it may not.
Can EV Auto Pro supply the Haval H9 for export? +
Yes. We source the Haval H9 in China for export to dealers and fleet buyers. Tell us the configuration, destination country and quantity, and we will confirm current availability and send an FOB/CIF quote with the duty and certification picture for your market.
What does a Haval H9 quote include? +
We quote per confirmed configuration rather than publishing a fixed price we cannot hold. Every quote states the vehicle cost, inland transport, export handling, documentation and shipping separately, as EXW, FOB or CIF depending on your request — so you can see exactly what is and is not included before you commit to a deposit.
How is the vehicle checked before shipment? +
We check condition, appearance, mileage, configuration, battery status and basic functions before loading, and send you a photo and video report. If something does not match the specification you ordered, it is resolved before the unit is loaded rather than after it arrives at your port.
What warranty applies to an exported Haval H9? +
Warranty policy depends on brand, model and destination country, and some manufacturer warranties are limited or void outside China. We explain the actual warranty position for your market before order confirmation rather than after, and we supply common spare and maintenance parts for units we have exported.
