Chevrolet Equinox
Why this model
What makes the Chevrolet Equinox worth importing
The EV is Mexican, not Chinese
The Equinox EV is assembled at Ramos Arizpe in Mexico. If a customer wants the electric Equinox, China is not the source — that matters for origin, duty and how you approach the transaction.
260 hp from the China-built 2.0T
191 kW and 353 Nm through a nine-speed automatic with all-wheel drive available gives genuine mid-size SUV capability.
A globally familiar nameplate
The Equinox is one of Chevrolet's core products worldwide, so buyers, workshops and parts suppliers all know it.
GM's service infrastructure
Chevrolet parts and workshops exist across most of the world, which makes independent servicing practical.
Specifications
Chevrolet Equinox technical data
Manufacturer figures for the China-market car. Equipment and certification vary by trim, production batch and destination — we confirm the exact build sheet before the order is placed.
| Version | Power | Torque | Battery | Range | 0–100 | Drive |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2.0T petrol (China-built) ICE · 9-speed automatic | 191 kW260 PS | 353 Nm | — | — | — | FWD or AWD |
| Equinox EV — built in Mexico, not China BEV · single-speed | 164 kW223 PS | — | — | — | — | FWD or AWD |
A dash means the manufacturer does not publish that figure for this version — we do not estimate it. Range standards differ: CLTC and NEDC read higher than WLTP for the same car, so compare like with like when quoting against a European rival.

About this model
Where the Chevrolet Equinox sits in the market
The Equinox is Chevrolet's mid-size SUV, and there is an important sourcing distinction to make. SAIC-GM has built petrol Equinox models in China with a 191 kW 2.0-litre turbo producing 353 Nm through a nine-speed automatic. The Equinox EV, however, is assembled in Mexico at Ramos Arizpe — it is not a Chinese vehicle at all.
So if a customer asks for an electric Equinox, China is the wrong source and we will say so; Mexican production is the route, with different origin and duty implications. For the petrol car, Chinese sourcing is genuine but carries no GM warranty abroad. In both cases GM's global parts networks make servicing practical, which is more than most cars on this site offer.
IMPORTANT: the Equinox EV is built in Mexico, not China — it is not a Chinese-sourced vehicle. SAIC-GM has built petrol Equinox models in China, but the electric version comes from Ramos Arizpe.
Before you order
What an importer must know about the Chevrolet Equinox
Critical distinction: the Equinox EV is built in Mexico at Ramos Arizpe, not China. Only petrol Equinox models have Chinese production. If a customer wants the electric version, Mexican sourcing is the correct route and the origin is Mexican for customs purposes — quite different from a Chinese import. For the China-built petrol car, parallel-export applies with no GM warranty, though GM parts networks ease servicing. LHD; right-hand-drive China production is not documented.
Market fit
Where the Chevrolet Equinox sells
Based on documented export presence and how the vehicle suits local conditions — not a guarantee of homologation, which we confirm per market before you order.
Middle East
Chevrolet has strong Gulf networks and mid-size SUV demand is high; the 2.0T suits highway driving in heat.
Latin America
GM's regional presence is extensive, though for the EV Mexican production is the natural source.
Central Asia
Mid-size SUV demand with all-wheel drive useful in winter and GM parts channels available.
Africa
Corporate fleet demand where GM service infrastructure supports long-term ownership.
