Order the Tiggo 7 for urban markets and single buyers, and the Tiggo 8 where families need a third row. Many dealers stock both, since the price gap is smaller than the size difference suggests.

Is the plug-in hybrid version the same in export specification? +

Not exactly. The China-market C-DM uses a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission while export builds have been supplied with a 1-speed DHT. Combined output is quoted at 240 kW with 545 Nm and 93 km of electric range on the Chinese car. We confirm the exact transmission and output figures on the build sheet for your units before the order, because quoting Chinese figures on an export car creates a problem at delivery.

What does the 48-volt mild hybrid actually change? +

The MHEV system adds a small 48-volt battery and starter-generator to the 1.5-litre turbo engine. It smooths stop-start, recovers some braking energy and reduces fuel consumption modestly — typically a single-digit percentage. It is not a plug-in system and cannot drive the car on electricity alone. Where customers want genuine electric running, the C-DM plug-in hybrid with 93 km of electric range is the version to quote.
