Where the Changan UNI-Z sits in the market
The UNI-Z is Changan's compact SUV in the UNI design family, a rebadged and facelifted Oshan Z6 that took over the nameplate in 2024. In China it is sold only as a plug-in hybrid: a 1.5-litre New Blue Whale engine with a 158 kW motor and an 18.4 kWh LFP battery, rated 125 km CLTC on electricity alone, 1,200 km combined and 7.4 seconds to 100 km/h. The petrol 1.5T and 2.0T engines listed here are the Oshan Z6 units the car inherits, at 140 kW / 300 Nm and 174 kW / 390 Nm, both through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
At 4,730 mm on a 2,795 mm wheelbase it puts most of its length into the cabin, and the UNI styling gives it identity in a segment where rivals look interchangeable. The same car is assembled in Russia as the Volga K40, which says where the export volume goes. Supplied through our Changan dealer authorization with factory invoicing and warranty documentation.
The UNI-Z is a rebadged and facelifted Oshan Z6, which Changan sold from 2022 to 2024 and which the UNI-Z replaced in March 2024. In China the UNI-Z is offered only as a plug-in hybrid; the 1.5T and 2.0T petrol engines below are the Oshan Z6 units the car inherits. Changan lists the UNI-Z PHEV at 4,730 mm long and 1,660 mm tall (1,680 mm on the trims with 20-inch wheels), while Wikipedia's shared Oshan Z6 infobox gives 4,699 mm. The same car is assembled in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia as the Volga K40.
